I believe whole heartily that God’s Word can stand on its own without our meager attempts to defend It. The Bible (KJV – King Jesus Version), takes our poor attempts at the exposition and performs a work despite our self-proclamation of achievement. Thus, the USA is faltering because failure is commonplace and acceptable for the Christian culture.
Application and primary interpretation of the Bible are fun areas to delve into when studying. However, practical application is what we need to grow, live, and prevent spiritual stagnation.
So, Ezekiel 22: 30 says, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”
This verse wraps up the very reason why the USA is failing — falling!
I will steer away from a dissertation about politics and offer a few simple thoughts for which to muse.
Why the USA is in dire straits based on Ezekiel 22:30
- Courageous men and women are on the decline (spiritually and patriotically)
- Spiritual leaders who study to show themselves approved are in declination
- True love and true religion are steeped in selfishness instead of selflessness
- The example of the believers is more of a ‘good ole boys club’ than the willingness to ‘be’ and ‘become’ a living illustration of how Christians should strive to forgive and restore.
