Preference and Opinion

Galatians 1:8 says, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

Many preachers and Christians will use this verse out of context. How? They will use “preach any other gospel” and “let him be accursed” to propagate their personal preferences, convictions, and standards. Gospel in their convoluted context becomes pants, music, movies, cards, methods etc.

Be sure, church member, that what you’re hearing from the pulpit isn’t preferential preaching.

What’s the gospel? The Good News; the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
