Overtaken in a Fault

Overtaken in a fault – Jack Schaap welcome?

To most IFB churches, Jack Schaap has no chance for redemption or restoration. Spiritual shame on you – Ichabod

Galatians 6: 1 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”

Spirituality

Restoration

Meekness

These three are essential to Godly living and should be meted out to all willing to receive. So, who has the need for Galatians 6:1? All of us!

Many churches preach a limited atonement and path to restoration. Oh, there are Pastors and churches that would rather write off a wayward saint, than work toward restoration. Oh, they preach a pretty sermon of Mercy and Grace, but hit one of their “pet sins” and it quickly becomes a sermon of a just God and He requires justice. I praise the Lord that he gave me Mercy and not Justice. How about you, arrogant pastor, deacon, teacher, or church member?

If you consider yourself to be spiritual, then restoration and meekness are required. Do you have a desire to be a conduit of restoration? Then, spirituality and meekness are required. Do you claim to be meek? If you lack spirituality and the desire to restore, you, indeed, are not meek.

Without spirituality, restoration, and meekness you are in danger of being overtaken by a fault. It’s sad to say, but many Baptists are in this very situation. As long as you meet their guidelines laid out in their list of sins worthy of restoration, then you’re “in like flynn.” Step outside their list of sins worthy of their forgiveness and restoration, then you are no more than spiritual fodder in the field of the outcasts no longer worthy to be used of the Lord. Guess what? These churches have a foundation built upon preference and not conviction from God’s Word. Some of the stupid things Baptists say and do CANNOT be supported by God’s Word. Shameful.

Ephesians 4:32 and 1 John 1:9 isn’t only for YOU because YOU give YOURSELF a free pass on sins YOU decide are not as “bad” as someone else’s sin. Newsflash! Pastor, deacon, teacher, evangelist……YOU have an obligation to measure out forgiveness and restoration to ALL who seek. By the way, it isn’t your job or the job of a council to decide the validity of a person’s desire for restoration and or call on their life. Jesus is on the right hand of the Father and there is no room for you.

Our churches are weak and predictable making an easy target for satan and his imps.

Let’s not be as this verse so succinctly describes:

Matthew 23:27 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.”
