Strength in the Clouds Genesis 9:14 “And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:”

As I read through the Bible every year, I always gain knowledge and nuggets of Truth that is encouraging and worthy of the word selah.

Sun, clouds; rain, clouds; storms, and clouds are very common to us, but do we really know what is happening when we see a rainbow?

1. It will come to pass, said the Lord
2. The Lord brings the cloud
3. The very cloud that He brings contains the bow

The next time that you see a rainbow, be encouraged, that at that very moment, God took the time (He owns) to use His everlasting and eternal hand to present a cloud containing a bow for you! It wasn’t an act of the weather or just a cycle of perfectness God has put into place…but a direct and intentional act promised thousands of years ago and it contains an ever-present promise for now and the future.

1. Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
   Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
   When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
