The opportunity to have a badge of difference placed upon us is available!
John 15:18-19
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Pilgrims: one that has only a temporary residence on earth. Hebrews 11
It is good news that we are pilgrims on this earth! One of these days, our Blessed Hope will be revealed, and a great snatching will take place. But, while we continue our journey, the opportunity to have a badge of difference placed upon us, remains.
So, we should be visibly different in many areas of Biblical truths. What are some of the undeniable truths that set us apart?
1 Corinthians 4: 7 – “For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?”
- Birth – Matthew 1:18
- Baptism – Acts 2:38
- Belief – James 2:19
- Book – Psalm 12:6
- Burden – 1 Peter 5:7
- Battle – Ephesians 6:1
- Brethren – 1 John 3:13,14
Allow the Holy Spirit to take His Word and indwell you with Perfect Knowledge! It’s not the words from a blog post, social network, book by a well-known preacher, or even a perfectly crafted sermon, but God’s Word is the essence of perfect peace and rest. Read Hebrews 4:12
Be challenged to be different. By the way, don’t strive to be different for yourself, your family, teacher, preacher, or close friend – be different for Jesus, period!
Titus 2:14 “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;”
Jude 22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference:”
